Hi fellow Excel Addict, |
|
It may be only two months away from Christmas
but it doesn't feel like it today. It's a nice,
bright, cool fall day here in Newfoundland and
much of the leaves have fallen making for some
spectacular scenery when the sun is shining
brightly.
Today my 'Excel in Minutes' tip provides a
simple answer to a question that many Excel
users have asked me over the years: 'How do
I copy just the Page Setup settings from one
sheet tab to another?'.
I always appreciate it when you share my tips
with other Excel users that you know.
Keep on Excelling,
Francis Hayes (The Excel Addict)

Easily
Copy Just The Page Setup Settings From One
Worksheet to Another
|
When you make a copy of a
worksheet tab in Excel by holding down the CTRL key
and dragging the sheet tab, the print settings get
copied as well. However, if you want to copy just the
Print (i.e. Page Setup) Settings from one sheet to one
or more other sheets, there doesn't appear to be an
option to do that.
But there is! In fact, there is a VERY SIMPLE , EASY
and FAST way to do this that you may have never heard
of.
1) First, select the sheet tab whose print settings
you want to copy;
2) Hold down the CTRL key and click
each sheet tab you want to copy the print settings to;
3) From the Page Layout tab, click Print
Titles to open the Page Setup dialog. Alternatively,
you can get to the Page Setup dialog by clicking
the tiny arrow on the bottom right corner of the
Page Setup group. Then
simply click OK;
4) The last VERY IMPORTANT step is to right click any
sheet tab and click Ungroup Sheets.
If you don't ungroup the sheets, you could really mess
up all of your sheets because everything you do to one
sheet will be duplicated in all other selected sheets.
