How to Copy Or Move Cell Notes

To copy a cell note but not the cell's contents and formatting:

1) Right click the cell containing the note and click Copy.

2) Right click the cell where you want to copy the note to and select Paste Special... (the Paste Special dialog opens).

3) In the Paste Special dialog, select Comments and Notes (older versions of Excel shows just Comments) and click OK.

To move a cell note but not the cell's contents and formatting:

Follow the same steps as above, then go back to the original cell, right click and choose Delete Note.
